Golden/Silver Circle Happenings

In October, our Alumnae Chapter will honor our Golden Circle members, who have achieved 50 or more years of membership in Tri-Delta.  These ladies represent the lasting sisterhood of Tri Delta and the important place our Fraternity holds in our hearts.  The strength of Tri-Delta endures because of the continuous love and support of these life-long alumnae.  In appreciation for their loyalty and friendship, a Golden Circle Luncheon is planned for Saturday, October 18 at 11:30 a.m. at my home.  Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend!   Look for an Evite in early October.

Honoring our Golden Circle Members

Each year, our Alumnae Chapter enjoys honoring our Golden Circle members, who have achieved 50 or more years of membership in Tri-Delta.  These ladies represent the lasting sisterhood of Tri Delta and give evidence of the important place our Fraternity holds in our hearts.  The strength of Tri-Delta endures because of the continuous love and support of these life-long alumnae.

In 1907, Sarah Ida Shaw Martin wrote the following poetic words on alumnae membership, “As one nears middle life one realizes that one’s heart must stay young or wither, that one must keep the faith or grow cynical and hard. There is nothing like this interest in the Fraternity for its rejuvenating power. I know it has been an inspiration to those who were strong, a tower of refuge to those who were weak, and a very comforting ally to fall back upon when hearts are sore and lives are sad. I want Tri Delta to reach out and lay her loving, helpful hands on all those who have ever been a member of her family.”

In appreciation for their loyalty, encouragement and ongoing friendship, a Golden Circle Luncheon is tentatively planned for October.  More information will follow once the date is confirmed.

Make a Difference Day

Care packages are going to be delivered to our five Golden Circle Members on Saturday October 28, 2006.  Included in the package will be an invitation to Founder's Day Dinner which starts the celebration of our 20 year anniversary.  Volunteers are needed to help deliver the care packages.  Please contact Jennifer Johnson if you are able to help.

Silver Cirlce Degree

Congratulations to Linda Bolton, Elizabeth Cayton & Jennifer Kolarczyk (she was unable to attend Pansy Breakfast) for making their Silver Circle Degree.  With this 25 year milestone of loyalty, support, and service may you continue to deepen your friendships and enrich your lives.

Golden Circle Brunch

Jennifer Johnson, Jenny Streit, Jennie Dincecco, Gloria Finnerty, and  Debbie Waterson enjoyed the brunch.  The food and the company were both wonderful. 

Circle Degree News

The Golden Circle luncheon was initiated last year with everyone enjoying themselves!  The second annual luncheon is scheduled for Saturday, October 15th . 

We did not have any    members receive their  Golden Circle Degree last year.  We did honor members receiving their Silver Circle Degree at Pansy Breakfast . Congratulations to Maggie Bailey, Bette Chwalsiz, Kara Curran,  Barbara Dodds, Gloria   Finnerty, Mary Frazier, Debbie Hayes, Penny Kirchoff, Martha     McConnell, Kristin Purtill, Carolyn Quinn, Jenny Streit and Judy Thorton.  Not all members were able to  attend.  Congratulations ladies for 25 years of devotion!
