Meet our two Delta Darlings Elizabeth Cayton and Linda Bolton. Both of these wonderful ladies celebrated their Silver Circle Degree at Pansy Breakfast this April.
Elizabeth Cayton joined our alumnae group 2 years ago. She attended Franklin College pledging Tri Delta in 1981. She currently lives in Algonquin with her family. She works for Harding Real Estate in Woodstock. Elizabeth is our Sunshine Chairwoman. So, anyone that has received a caring note it is the work of Elizabeth.
One of her favorite memories from her collegiate days was serenading on the campus. Elizabeth and her sisters would do it spontaneously past the fraternities and sing as loudly as they could. Since Franklin College Campus is a small campus they were easily heard. The guys would respond and serenaded back and build "naked pyramids" in response.
Linda Bolton joined our alumnae group this past February. Linda lives in Johnsburg with her husband and two daughters. She is our new Vice President taking over mid term.
Linda attended California State University of Long Beach pledging Tri Delta in 1980. She followed in her mother's footsteps of sisterhood. Her best girlfriend today is a pledge sister and two others are Tri Deltas she meet while working. She has many good memories of her collegiate days. The best was, "The freedom to be an individual within a group." No other Tri Delta's were PE majors, got up to run or row at 5:30 AM or road their bikes to class. I learned mostly how to get along with others who had different ideas or opinions. My collegiate days helped me become a well rounded women ready to face all the challenges that lie ahead. But, we should not expect to see Linda riding her bike to the monthly meetings!
Both of Delta Darlings were asked: What do you like about our Alumnae Group?
Elizabeth's Answer: I love our alumnae group because it is full of friendly people who are easy to talk to and have fun together, as opposed to an alumnae group that is more focused on status and networking. Elizabeth
Linda's Answer: It is like coming home. Again, I feel the freedom to be an individual within a group. I feel I can offer new ideas and have them received. Love and Laughter - Linda
